NEWS FLASH!!!
Catholic Schools’ Week was a big success! (This was the warmest one in many, many years.J) We enjoyed each day with various fun activities twisted in with our everyday schedule. Thank you, parents, for entrusting us with your children.
For the upcoming week we will be taking the Reading Unit Test on Tuesday and Wednesday. Math test –Thursday/ sending a “hint sheet” to use as a study guide…….. This measurement unit can be a very difficult one for some students, since it covers so much material. Being able to measure any line segment to the nearest half inch or nearest centimeter is a requirement.
I did not assign a story to read this weekend. Try to have the kiddos put in some extra time working on the states’ placements. We will be testing on all 50 states by April. The spelling of each state needs to be “pretty close” to the original! Use our 3rd grade link on the St. Agnes website for a fun game to practice placement.
For our first week,,,,, we had some great scores on the 6-second multiplication record quiz. The Math Magician game is a fun way to study and beat your fastest time.
