About Our Principal

Sr. Regina Marie Strassburger

I am a Franciscan Sister of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and have been a vowed member of my community for over 40 years. In my twentieth year as an elementary school principal I am honored to be the new principal of St. Agnes School. I love being a principal and I bring to that ministry a love for children, the Catholic faith, and the mission of the Church. I also bring a strong desire to partner with the Pastor of the parish, the teachers, the parishioners, and the parents who have children in the school.

As a leader I believe in collaboration – no one has all the answers. I also believe in organization – a well-run, mission-oriented organization achieves its goals and finally, good communication. Cooperation and understanding are brought about through effective communication and enable people to get on board and support the mission.
As a Catholic school St. Agnes has a God-centered atmosphere that radiates calmness and peace. The uniqueness of St. Agnes School lies in the wonderful support it receives from the entire parish. The expression, “it takes a village to raise a child,” is lived out daily by the numerous volunteers working in our school every day.   Each day I also partner and collaborate with the most dedicated faculty I have ever encountered.
I am happy to say that my goal at St. Agnes is to continue all of the strengths I have already found here: a strong family atmosphere, a strong Catholic identity, and a very strong academic thrust. Together we are preparing our students to be adults who are “Alive in Christ,” who love God and neighbor, serving their sisters and brothers wherever they live throughout the world. We are preparing them to be citizens with integrity, future leaders of our world.
