Dear St. Agnes Families,

Wow, has it been a year! Here we are in Mary’s month of May, and maybe we feel like extending our arms to the heavens and shouting “We made it!” Next week we will be celebrating the crowning of Mary as “Queen of May.”

This has been a wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you for recognizing our teachers and all that they have done this year. They were humbled and deeply appreciated all the love. Every day was a special surprise. Thank you for those who planned it, decorated, put the signs in teachers’ yards, and covered duties so we could have lunch together.

Mrs. Wehner, Carol Emmett, and Margaret Young want to thank everyone for supporting our School Book Fair. They were able to receive 40% of the sales back in Scholastic Dollars to purchase books for the teachers’ classrooms and the library.

The 8th grade Confirmation was made this Wednesday, May 5th at St. Agnes Church by Monsignor Stehly. It was a beautiful celebration of the Holy Spirit being present in our 8th graders’ spiritual journey.  We thank Father Benz and Deacon Jim Basler for helping celebrate this Holy Sacrament.

God answered our prayers and gave our students beautiful weather for their field trips today. Kindergarten and First grade visited the Myseum and Suson Park. They had a blast.

Our 8th graders are currently on their 8th Grade Mystery Field Trip as I type this. I’m sure we will hear all about what fun everyone had and what all they did on Monday.

Registration for new students is continuing please encourage family and friends to consider the benefits and values of a Catholic School Education. Please visit our school web page or call the office for more information.
