Greetings! My name is Sister Fran Dotta. I am a School Sister of Notre Dame and I live in south county St Louis. My parents immigrated to this country after WWII and I am the middle of seven children. I grew up on a mini farm as we raised chickens and turkeys and grew all our own fruits and vegetables. My parents passed on to us their faith in God and the values of honesty and hard work.
By third grade I decided that I wanted to be a teacher and at some point during my high school years at Notre Dame, I realized I wanted to become a Sister. I have totally loved being a teaching Sister and have taught in Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota and Wisconsin. A few years ago my Congregation asked me to give service in Rome for three years. That was truly an enriching experience for me as I was able to meet more of our Sisters from many other countries. It was also a blessing to be in the presence of Pope Francis.
Then I returned to the States and resumed teaching! Now I am looking forward to working with the students and families at St. Agnes!
