2020-2021 Newsletter #10
October 16, 2020
Greetings St Agnes Families,
Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes enjoyed their field trip to the Perryville Pumpkin Farm. Several kindergarteners expressed how excited they were about riding a school bus. Third grade had a perfect autumn day at the Lawrenceton One Room School House. One of our third graders, Olivia Herzog, great, great, great grandparents attended the school. Her great, great uncle Pershing Carron gave the tour and provided a very interesting history lesson on the school and church.
Our 5th-grade class has started the DARE program presented by Officer Mc Carty.
Mr. Emmett reapplied the RAZOR antimicrobial service protector for St. Agnes School today. He says this will work to protect us from the normal flu in addition to Covid. We are grateful to have an environmental engineer with knowledge of disinfectant procedures as a parent and our PTO president.
Our 8th-grade girls were honored this week at the end of their season. The B team 5th and 6thgrade volleyball team is undefeated! Soccer is winding up their season as well. I am grateful that they were able to have games this year!
Remember to discuss fire safety with your children as October is fire safety month.
As always, keep our school and students in your prayers.
