ST. AGNES ELEMENTARY
#14 - January 8th, 2021
Dear St. Agnes Families,
I hope that everyone had a restful and enjoyable Christmas Break! We made it through the first week of 2021! It was a smooth transition back. Improvements continue all around the building. A new awning was installed outside of the main office doors. Mr. Figge has replaced broken tiles at the entrance of the doorways. The paper recycling bins were moved for safety reasons. They are now located at the corner of the lower parking lot off of 30 St. Agnes Drive.
Today the Educonnect portal is open so you can view the 2nd quarter report cards. January marks the beginning of a new year, a new semester, new experiences, and new learning opportunities. Please remind your students that this is not the time to let up when it comes to their education. The teachers and I want all of our students to be successful and finish the year strong. Utilizing help from the faculty and working diligently will help build good habits that will carry them throughout their life. Perhaps giving your student a pep talk and some suggestions could help.
Some ways to help have a successful second semester are:
- Set goals
- Stay organized
- Don’t put off responsibilities
- Remember what you have worked for
- Adjust your attitude/ get motivated
- Take care of yourself
- Focus on the finish line
The temperature outside has definitely dropped. Please be sure your child has a coat, hat and gloves.
Our virtue for the month of January is RESPONSIBILITY.
We are excited about the months ahead and what we have accomplished so far during the school year. Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious gift.
- Debra Klahs, Principal
